The NLRP3 inflammasome is a multi-protein complex whose assembly is initiated by Cryopyrin (also called NALP3 and CIAS1), and the rabbit polyclonal antibody distributed by Antibodies.com provides a specific detection reagent for tracking this protein in human cellular and tissue samples.

Cryopyrin is a pyrin-domain-containing pattern recognition receptor expressed predominantly in myeloid-lineage cells such as monocytes and macrophages, where it assembles into a multi-protein complex in response to pathogen- and danger-associated molecular stimuli. Once activated, the inflammasome drives caspase-1 cleavage and IL-1β / IL-18 maturation, placing NLRP3 at a central node of innate immunity and sterile inflammation research.

Gain-of-function mutations in the gene encoding Cryopyrin underlie a spectrum of hereditary autoinflammatory disorders collectively known as Cryopyrin-Associated Periodic Syndromes (CAPS), which makes well-validated detection reagents valuable for studying disease mechanisms and screening therapeutics in relevant cellular models. The unconjugated polyclonal format also supports flexible secondary antibody pairing across multiple readout platforms.

Supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot in a single-use vial, the reagent is validated for Western blot and ELISA workflows on human samples. Researchers commonly deploy it to detect endogenous NLRP3 expression in cell lysates, characterize inflammasome assembly in primed macrophages, and probe CAPS-related signaling cascades. For handling, refrigerate the antibody for short-term storage and aliquot before freezing for longer-term use to limit freeze-thaw cycles; protect from light to preserve antibody performance. This product is for research use only.
