CRYAB (Alpha B-crystallin) is a small heat shock protein that functions as a molecular chaperone, protecting client proteins from aggregation under conditions of cellular stress such as heat shock and oxidative damage. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against CRYAB and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human and mouse samples, making it a versatile reagent for laboratories studying crystallinopathies, desmin-related myopathy, and neurodegeneration.
Each vial contains 100 µL of affinity-purified reagent suitable for detection of the approximately 20 kDa target in tissue lysates and fixed sections. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes, which is useful when working with truncated, phosphorylated, or otherwise post-translationally modified forms of the protein. Aliquot upon receipt and store frozen at -20°C; limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity across downstream blot and staining experiments.
