CRX (Cone-Rod Homeobox) is a photoreceptor-enriched homeodomain transcription factor that directs the development, differentiation, and long-term survival of rod and cone cells in the vertebrate retina. Antibodies.com supplies this rabbit polyclonal antibody for investigators studying retinal biology, photoreceptor specification, and inherited retinal dystrophies, where CRX loss-of-function variants underlie forms of Leber congenital amaurosis, cone-rod dystrophy, and autosomal dominant retinitis pigmentosa.
The unconjugated reagent is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit, validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse, and rat tissue samples. Storage at -20°C in working aliquots preserves activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles; for short-term bench use, refrigeration at 4°C is acceptable. The reagent is intended for research use only, supporting studies of retinal development, photoreceptor gene regulation, and ocular disease models in vitro and in vivo.
