CRSP130, now more often called MED1 (Mediator complex subunit 1), is the largest subunit of the mammalian Mediator co-activator complex and acts as a direct, ligand-dependent binding partner for activated nuclear hormone receptors. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against the F26 region of the protein and is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, packaged in a 100 µl vial.

The reagent detects the expected high-molecular-weight band on western blots of human, mouse, and rat lysates and has been validated for immunohistochemistry on paraformaldehyde-fixed tissue, supporting work on estrogen-receptor and thyroid-receptor signalling, p53-mediated transcriptional control, and broader chromatin-regulatory programmes. Because the target sits at the interface between sequence-specific transcription factors and the general transcriptional machinery, the antibody is commonly applied in projects dissecting mediator recruitment, co-activator exchange, and hormone-driven gene activation.

Short-term storage at 4 °C is convenient, with aliquot and freeze recommended for longer-term stability; the product is intended for research use only.
