CRP (C-Reactive Protein) is a hepatic acute-phase reactant synthesized in response to inflammatory cytokines, and quantitative measurement of CRP in biological samples is a routine indicator of systemic inflammation. This polyclonal anti-CRP reagent from Antibodies.com was generated in rabbit and cross-reacts with CRP from human, mouse, and rat, supporting comparative work in rodent inflammation models and clinical sample analysis.
The antibody is provided at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, and the 100 µl pack supports multiple western blot experiments without needing to aliquot immediately. As an unconjugated reagent, the antibody can be paired with a secondary reporter of the user's choice, whether HRP for chemiluminescent western blot, a fluorophore for multiplex imaging, or biotin for streptavidin-based detection, depending on the assay design.
