CREB3 is a basic leucine zipper (bZIP) transcription factor of the ATF/CREB family that resides in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and undergoes regulated intramembrane proteolysis during the unfolded protein response (UPR). Upon ER stress, its cytosolic N-terminal domain is cleaved and translocates to the nucleus to drive transcription of stress-responsive target genes. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against CREB3 and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat specimens.

The reagent is supplied in a 100 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, a formulation that remains liquid at -20°C for long-term storage and resists freeze-thaw damage. Working dilutions can be applied directly to PVDF or nitrocellulose membranes for immunoblotting or to formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections for IHC detection of endogenous CREB3 expression. Also referenced in the literature as LZIP, LUMAN, and the bone-associated OASIS isoform, CREB3 has been implicated in herpes simplex virus reactivation, osteoblast differentiation, and Golgi stress signaling, making this reagent relevant for research on UPR biology, viral latency, and stress-activated transcription factor regulation.
