A rabbit polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com that recognizes the region surrounding lysine 123 of CREB (cAMP response element-binding protein), a transcription factor that binds cAMP response elements to modulate downstream gene expression. The unconjugated reagent is formulated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and is supplied as a 100 µl vial. Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry, it shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies in neuroscience, endocrinology, and signal-transduction research. The polyclonal host response produces a heterogeneous immunoglobulin pool that can improve target detection in denatured lysates and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections. To preserve binding activity, aliquot on receipt and store refrigerated, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles; the sodium azide preservative keeps working dilutions usable for short-term benchtop use.
