This Antibodies.com rabbit monoclonal antibody, clone A17-A, directly conjugates the CREB transcription factor to the FITC fluorophore for one-step intracellular flow cytometry staining without a secondary reagent. CREB (cAMP response element-binding protein) is a 43 kDa basic leucine zipper transcription factor that binds the CRE (cAMP response element) consensus sequence TGACGTCA, regulating genes involved in neuronal plasticity, memory formation, glucose homeostasis, and cell proliferation. The conjugate is supplied as a ready-to-use liquid in a single vial, sufficient for 100 tests, and is validated for use on human cells including lymphocytes and cultured primary lines, where it enables quantitative measurement of total CREB levels following standard fixation and permeabilization. The reagent is the Antibodies.com equivalent of cat. no. ab175642, sharing the same clone, host species, and FITC conjugation chemistry. With FITC emission peaking near 530 nm, the antibody is excited efficiently by the standard 488 nm blue laser on most benchtop flow cytometers. Refrigeration and protection from light are recommended to preserve fluorophore integrity during storage.
