Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against a non-phosphopeptide derived from human CREB, spanning the region around the phosphorylation sites of serine 129 and serine 133 (S-R-R-P-S). The antibody detects endogenous levels of total CREB protein (also known as CREB-1 or cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 1) and is supplied as an unconjugated, ready-to-use formulation containing rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL. The 50 µl size is validated for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications on human samples, making it a dependable choice for laboratories studying cAMP-responsive transcriptional regulation and related signaling pathways. For stability, the product is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at -20 °C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve antibody integrity. Purification is performed by affinity-chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen, ensuring high specificity of the polyclonal response. This reagent is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
