CRAT (Carnitine O-Acetyltransferase) is a mitochondrial matrix enzyme that catalyzes the reversible transfer of acyl groups between coenzyme A and L-carnitine, supporting fatty acid β-oxidation and cellular energy homeostasis. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows, with demonstrated reactivity against human and mouse samples.
The antibody is supplied as a 100 µL aliquot at 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, allowing convenient storage at -20 °C with minimal freeze-thaw cycling. Aliquoting upon first use is recommended to preserve functional activity across long-term studies of mitochondrial metabolism, muscle physiology, and metabolic disease models. Intended for research use only in in vitro applications.
