Supplied by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against the Cellular retinoic acid-binding protein 2 (CRABP-II) target and is designed to detect endogenous levels of total CRABP2. The immunogen is a recombinant human CRABP2 protein, and the antibody is purified by affinity chromatography using that immunogen to maximise specificity. It is provided as an unconjugated preparation at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in a ready-to-use phosphate-buffered saline formulation (pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl) containing 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. The 50 µl pack size is suitable for routine Western blot and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) workflows, and the reagent has been validated on extracts from a panel of human, mouse and rat cell lines, demonstrating cross-species reactivity across these three commonly used mammalian models. Because the antibody is unconjugated, it can be paired with any secondary reporter of choice (HRP, fluorophore, biotin, etc.) to suit the chosen detection platform. For handling, the product is shipped cold at 4°C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at −20°C; repeated freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided to preserve activity. Quality-control data available on the supplier page includes representative Western blot and immunofluorescence images confirming clean signal and low background at recommended dilutions. For research use only, this polyclonal offers a flexible, affinity-purified option for laboratories studying retinoic-acid signalling, epidermal differentiation, or CRABP2 expression in normal and disease states.
