Anti-CR2 Antibody

Raised in rabbit, this polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com targets CD21 (also known as CR2) and is supplied unconjugated. It is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples and has been validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) applications. Recommended dilutions are WB 1:500–1:1,000, IHC 1:50–1:100 and ICC/IF 1:50–1:100.

The reagent is provided as a liquid with a reported molecular weight of 150 kDa, formulated in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide. It is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C on arrival, with freeze/thaw cycles to be avoided. The concentration is lot specific. The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 300–590 of human CR2/CD21 (NP_001006659.1), and the antibody is purified by affinity chromatography.

Supporting data include Western blot analysis of extracts from various cell lines using the antibody at 1:1,000 dilution with a goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L HRP secondary at 1:10,000, lysates loaded at 25µg per lane in 3% non-fat dry milk in TBST and detected with an ECL Basic Kit at 60 s exposure. IHC was performed on paraffin-embedded rat spleen at 1:100 (40x lens) following microwave antigen retrieval in 10 mM PBS pH 7.2, and immunofluorescence images are provided for both rat and human spleen at 1:100 (40x lens) with DAPI nuclear counterstain.
