Carboxypeptidase Q (CPQ), also called plasma glutamate carboxypeptidase or lysosomal dipeptidase, is a zinc-dependent metallocarboxypeptidase of the M28 peptidase family that hydrolyzes dipeptides with free N- and C-termini into single amino acids, contributing to peptide processing at the plasma membrane and within lysosomal compartments. This Antibodies.com reagent is an affinity-purified polyclonal IgG raised in rabbit against CPQ and supplied as an unconjugated preparation in a 200 µl liquid aliquot per vial. The antibody has been validated for Western blot detection of endogenous CPQ in mouse tissue lysates, cell line extracts, and subcellular fractions at a recommended working dilution of 1:500 to 1:2000, with the mature enzyme running near 52 kDa and the glycosylated pro-form migrating at approximately 60-72 kDa on SDS-PAGE. Because the IgG is unconjugated, researchers can pair it with their preferred HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagent for standard immunoblotting workflows. Store refrigerated at -20 °C and aliquot on first use to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, preserving antibody activity across multiple experiments. Intended for research use only in studies of carboxypeptidase biology, dipeptide metabolism, lysosomal enzyme function, and mouse model systems of peptidase activity.
