Affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal IgG directed against mouse CPQ (Carboxypeptidase Q), a secreted zinc-dependent metallopeptidase of the M28 family that cleaves dipeptides with unsubstituted terminals and is also known as plasma glutamate carboxypeptidase, lysosomal dipeptidase, PGCP, or LCH1. Distributed by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated liquid reagent in a 100 µl vial, this primary antibody is validated for Western Blot detection of endogenous CPQ in mouse cell lysates and tissue homogenates, with a recommended working dilution of 1:500 to 1:2,000. The unconjugated IgG format gives laboratories full flexibility to pair the reagent with HRP, alkaline phosphatase, fluorophore, or biotinylated secondary antibodies depending on the imaging or detection platform of choice. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide derived from the human CPQ sequence, and the antibody recognizes a band near the expected 51 kDa calculated molecular weight of the CPQ precursor, with the mature glycosylated form typically observed around 57-60 kDa. The buffer is PBS at pH 7.3 supplemented with 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide as preservative. For handling, aliquot the reagent and store at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity across multiple experiments. The reagent is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic, therapeutic, or cosmetic applications.
