Raised in rabbit as a polyclonal reagent, this unconjugated primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets the CPN2 (carboxypeptidase N subunit 2) protein for Western blot workflows. CPN2 is the non-catalytic 83 kDa subunit of the tetrameric carboxypeptidase N complex that circulates in plasma, where it stabilizes the catalytic CPN1 subunits responsible for cleaving C-terminal arginine and lysine residues from bioactive peptides such as bradykinin, anaphylatoxins, and kinins.

Validated for reactivity against human, mouse, and rat samples, this affinity-purified reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) at approximately pH 7.2, with 0.05% sodium azide included as a preservative. The 100 µl vial format is sufficient for multiple blotting experiments and should be stored refrigerated between uses to maintain antibody activity. Intended for research use only, the reagent supports studies of complement regulation, hepatic protein synthesis, and carboxypeptidase N deficiency.
