CPI-17 (C-kinase-potentiated protein phosphatase 1 inhibitor, 17 kDa) is a cytoskeletal regulator that, once phosphorylated at threonine 38 by PKC or ROCK kinases, gains the ability to inhibit myosin light chain phosphatase and sustain contractile signaling in smooth muscle and non-muscle cells. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against the phospho-T38 epitope of CPI-17, allowing researchers to track the activated, signaling-competent pool of the protein rather than total expression levels.

The reagent is supplied as a 100 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, pH approximately 7.2. It is unconjugated and has been validated for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), reacting with human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers commonly use it to study vascular smooth muscle contraction, agonist-evoked calcium sensitization, cytoskeletal remodeling in migrating cells, and RhoA/ROCK or PKC signaling in cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and cancer models.

For short-term use, store refrigerated; for longer-term storage, aliquot and freeze at -20 °C or below to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the antibody solution. The sodium azide at 0.05% acts as a microbial preservative.
