Anti-CPEB1 Antibody

Supplied by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent recognizes cytoplasmic polyadenylation element-binding protein 1 (CPEB1), an RNA-binding translational regulator that binds the cytoplasmic polyadenylation element within the 3′ UTR of selected messenger RNAs and directs poly(A)-tail extension prior to translation. The unconjugated primary antibody is provided as a 200 µl vial sized for direct western blot detection of endogenous CPEB1 in human, mouse, and rat samples.

CPEB1 orchestrates meiotic progression during oocyte maturation, contributes to mitotic cell-cycle regulation, and controls local protein synthesis underlying neuronal synaptic plasticity. Researchers therefore use this antibody to probe post-transcriptional gene regulation, germ cell development, and activity-dependent translation in neurons, where changes in CPEB1 abundance inform studies of memory, cellular senescence, and disease-relevant pathways.

For western blot workflows, an appropriate labeled secondary antibody and a compatible detection system must be supplied separately.
