Anti-CPA6 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the CPA6 (Carboxypeptidase A6) target, this unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent is intended for Western blot detection of endogenous CPA6 in rat tissue lysates run under reducing conditions. Carboxypeptidase A6 is a zinc-dependent metallocarboxypeptidase that is highly expressed in the central nervous system, where it participates in neuropeptide processing and modulation of extracellular signaling peptides; loss-of-function variants in the CPA6 gene have been linked to familial temporal lobe epilepsy and febrile seizures, and altered CPA6 expression has been investigated in certain cancer cell lines.
