COX7A2L (Cytochrome c Oxidase Subunit 7A2 Like), also known as SCAF1, is a mitochondrial respiratory chain protein that supports cytochrome c oxidase function and the assembly of stable III-IV supercomplexes within the electron transport chain. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and validated for Western blot detection of endogenous COX7A2L in human, mouse, and rat samples.

The antibody is supplied as a 100 µl volume at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, ready to dilute into standard blotting workflows. The 50% glycerol formulation tolerates repeated freeze-thaw cycles when stored at -20 °C, and the sodium azide component preserves the reagent during routine benchtop handling.

Investigators working on mitochondrial bioenergetics, oxidative phosphorylation, and metabolic disease use this reagent to track COX7A2L expression in cell lines, primary tissue, and isolated mitochondrial fractions. It supports studies of supercomplex remodeling under metabolic stress, hypoxia, and altered nutrient availability, and allows comparative analyses between rodent models and human biopsy material. Each preparation is affinity-purified and quality-controlled for reactivity against the COX7A2L target.
