Anti-COX11 Antibody

A polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com raised in rabbit hosts against COX11, the mitochondrial inner membrane metallochaperone required for copper B insertion into the catalytic core of cytochrome c oxidase (Complex IV). The IgG reagent is supplied unconjugated as a 200 µl liquid preparation in a single vial, affinity-purified from rabbit serum using a synthetic peptide immunogen derived from human COX11 (residues 51–100) and formulated in PBS with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.

The antibody detects the endogenous ~31 kDa COX11 band by Western blot following SDS-PAGE separation and transfer to nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes. Standard chemiluminescent visualization is achieved when paired with an HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit secondary antibody. Researchers apply the reagent at a working dilution of 1:500–1:1000 for immunoblotting of human cell and tissue lysates. The reagent is reactive against human COX11 and is intended for research use only.

Storage recommendations: aliquot upon receipt to limit freeze-thaw cycles, store short term refrigerated, and hold long term at -20°C. A 200 µl vial supports multiple immunoblotting experiments at the recommended dilution range.
