Anti-Cox-4(C-terminus) Antibody

Designed for the detection of endogenous cytochrome c oxidase subunit 4 (Cox-4), this affinity-purified mouse monoclonal reagent supplied by Antibodies.com is raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of human Cox-4. Offered at 50 µl per vial (a 100 µl format is also available), the unconjugated preparation is supplied purified in a 0.1 M Tris-Glycine buffer (pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl) containing 0.2 % sodium azide and 50 % glycerol, with antibody purity greater than 95 % as judged by SDS-PAGE after affinity-chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen. The antibody recognizes a band at the predicted 17 kDa molecular weight and is validated across multiple immunoassays, including Western blot (WB), immunocytochemistry (ICC), immunoprecipitation (IP) and flow cytometry (FC). It shows broad cross-species reactivity, cleanly detecting endogenous COX4 in human, mouse, rat, monkey, goat and hamster samples while exhibiting no cross-reactivity with related COX isoforms, which makes it well suited as a mitochondrial loading-control marker for cell-biology and respiratory-chain studies.
