Raised in rabbit against the COP9 signalosome subunit 8 (COPS8), this unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is intended for Western blot detection of the human target. COPS8, also called CSN8, is one of eight subunits of the conserved COP9 signalosome complex that regulates cullin neddylation and the ubiquitin-proteasome system, with downstream roles in cell-cycle progression and the DNA-damage response.

The antibody is supplied as 200 µl of liquid antiserum, unconjugated and of the IgG isotype, and has been validated for immunoblotting of human samples. Investigators studying deneddylation, cullin-RING ligase activity, or nuclear signaling cascades use anti-COPS8 reagents to probe complex assembly and subunit stability in lysates from cultured human cell lines.

The format pairs cleanly with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent or fluorescent detection on PVDF or nitrocellulose membranes in standard Western blot workflows.
