A rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets COPS5, the catalytic JAMM-domain subunit of the COP9 signalosome complex, supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated IgG at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. COPS5 (also known as JAB1 or CSN5) carries out deneddylation of cullin-RING E3 ubiquitin ligases and modulates the turnover of substrates including p53, p27, and Smad proteins.

The polyclonal format against a conserved region of the protein increases the likelihood of detecting multiple isoforms or post-translationally modified variants, which is helpful when probing samples where expression levels are low or where single-epitope monoclonal antibodies give only weak signal. This lot is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications and shows reactivity against human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species comparative studies in cultured cells, fresh-frozen sections, and standard lysate-based workflows.

Sodium azide is included as a preservative, and the 50% glycerol carrier allows the antibody aliquot to be stored at -20 °C without freezing, protecting activity through repeated freeze-thaw cycles. For best results, dilute into the appropriate buffer for your application: typical working dilutions fall in the 1:500–1:2000 range for Western blot and 1:100–1:500 for IHC, though optimization for individual sample types is recommended. Researchers investigating COP9 signalosome function, neddylation dynamics, or COPS5-dependent oncogenic signaling will find this primary antibody reagent a flexible starting point.
