Anti-COPS5 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets COPS5 (COP9 Signalosome Subunit 5), a ~38 kDa catalytic component of the COP9 signalosome (CSN) complex. COPS5, also called CSN5 or Jab1, harbors an MPN/JAMM metalloprotease domain that removes the ubiquitin-like modifier Nedd8 from cullins, thereby controlling the activity of cullin-RING E3 ubiquitin ligases. Independent of the holocomplex, COPS5 participates in transcriptional regulation, the DNA damage response, and cell cycle progression, with documented binding partners that include c-Jun, p53, and the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p27/Kip1.

Provided at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the antibody is supplied as a 100 µl vial format suited to western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows.
