Anti-Connexin 43 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent targets the gap junction protein Connexin 43 (GJA1) and is supplied as a 50 µl liquid at 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide. The antibody is unconjugated and of the IgG isotype, raised against a synthetic peptide derived from the C-terminal region of human Connexin 43, and affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific affinity chromatography so that it detects endogenous levels of the target. It is validated for ELISA, Western blot (WB), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), and reacts with human, mouse and rat samples, which makes it useful as a cross-species cardiomyocyte and gap-junction marker. The vial is shipped at 4 °C; on arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
