Anti-Connexin 43 (Ab-367) Antibody

Raised in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com as a polyclonal reagent, this antibody targets Connexin 43 and binds a region spanning residues 365–369 of the human protein (R-A-S-S-R), allowing detection of endogenous total Connexin 43 in lysates and tissue sections. The unconjugated IgG preparation is offered at 50 µl per vial at a concentration of approximately 1.0 mg/mL, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.4 with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol; it is affinity-purified by epitope-specific peptide chromatography to minimise off-target binding. Validated applications cover Western blotting and immunohistochemistry, and the reagent has been confirmed to react with human, mouse and rat samples, making it suitable for cross-species studies of gap junction biology. The product is shipped on cold packs at 4°C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at −20°C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
