Anti-Collagen I α2 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against Collagen I α2 (COL1A2), a fibril-forming collagen abundant in bone, dermis, tendon and cornea. The antibody is supplied as 50 µl of liquid in PBS (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF) workflows on human samples. As an unconjugated IgG preparation raised in a rabbit host, the reagent is suitable for direct labelling or for downstream detection with secondary antibodies, and the polyclonal format ensures recognition of multiple epitopes across the target. The COL1A2 protein migrates with an apparent molecular weight around 129 kDa, consistent with the mature type I collagen α2 chain, and the antibody is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an immunizing peptide derived from the human COL1A2 sequence. The product is shipped at 4 °C; upon receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided, and is intended for research use only and not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
