COLEC12 (Collectin-12), also called SRCL or SCARA4, is a pattern recognition molecule of the innate immune system that belongs to the C-type lectin family. Expressed on endothelial cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells, it recognizes fungal cell wall components, oxidized low-density lipoproteins, and surface markers on apoptotic cells, supporting host defense and tissue clearance.

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against the human COLEC12 target and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, suitable for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. The polyclonal format allows recognition of multiple epitopes on the COLEC12 protein, supporting robust detection in Western blot analysis. For immunohistochemistry, the reagent can be combined with HRP- or AP-conjugated anti-rabbit secondary antibodies or polymer-based detection systems to visualize COLEC12 expression in human tissue sections.

Investigations into atherosclerosis, scavenger receptor signaling, host-pathogen interactions, and innate immune surveillance have used this reagent to map COLEC12 distribution in vascular beds and lymphoid organs. The unconjugated format provides flexibility to pair the antibody with user-selected secondary reagents and chromogenic or fluorescent detection chemistries. Store refrigerated and protect from light, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity.
