Anti-COL17A1 Antibody

This recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody targets COL17A1 (Collagen Type XVII Alpha 1 Chain), the transmembrane hemidesmosomal protein also known as BP180 and BPAG2. Supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated primary antibody in a 50 µl vial, the reagent is formulated in TBS (pH 7.4) with 1% BSA, 40% glycerol, and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative, and is validated for western blot, immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse, and rat samples. COL17A1 localizes to the epidermal basement membrane zone where it anchors keratinocytes to the underlying dermis, and the protein is a major autoantigen in bullous pemphigoid as well as the gene mutated in junctional epidermolysis bullosa.
