Cofilin1 and cofilin2 are actin-binding proteins central to cytoskeletal remodeling, cell motility, and cytokinesis. Phosphorylation at Ser3 regulates their activity, making them widely studied in neuronal development, cancer metastasis, and synaptic plasticity research. This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com detects both the non-muscle cofilin1 isoform and the muscle cofilin2 isoform in cell and tissue samples. The unconjugated antibody is supplied in a 100 µl vial and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows across human, mouse, and rat reactivity. Researchers commonly apply it to monitor endogenous cofilin expression, track phospho-state changes following LIM kinase modulation, and visualize actin-rich structures such as lamellipodia and stress fibers in fixed cells. Aliquot upon receipt and store at -20 °C to preserve long-term performance; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. For research use only.
