Anti-Cofilin (phospho-S3) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com selectively recognizes Cofilin only when phosphorylated at serine 3 (phospho-S3), the inactivating mark deposited by LIM kinase that blocks actin filament severing. The unconjugated reagent is provided at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples.

Because phospho-S3 cofilin is a direct readout of LIMK/SSH phosphatase balance, this antibody is commonly used to monitor actin cytoskeleton remodeling during cell migration and invasion, studies of neuronal synaptic plasticity, cancer metastasis models, and cellular responses to stress or apoptosis.
