Anti-CNTF Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com, raised against ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF). The unconjugated reagent is supplied as a liquid and validated for western blotting (WB) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), with three scientific validation images available.

It reacts with human, mouse and rat samples. Recommended starting dilutions are 1:500–1:2,000 for WB and 1:50–1:200 for ICC/IF. The molecular weight is reported as 26 kDa and the concentration is given as lot specific.

The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 24–74 of human CNTF (NP_000605.1). The antibody is purified by affinity chromatography and formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.01% thiomersal. It is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at −20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
