CNGA3 (cyclic nucleotide-gated channel alpha 3) is a cone photoreceptor cation channel subunit that assembles with CNGB3 to form the native cyclic nucleotide-gated channel in cone outer segments. Loss-of-function variants in CNGA3 cause achromatopsia type 2 (ACHM2) and a subset of cone-rod dystrophies, and the protein is widely studied as a model of retinal disease and ion channel trafficking.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against CNGA3 and validated for Western blot in human, mouse, and rat samples. The primary antibody is supplied as 100 µL of liquid, prepared for direct incubation with nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes after SDS-PAGE separation of retinal or transfected cell lysates.

For Western blot, the reagent is applied to whole-cell or tissue extracts under denaturing reducing conditions, resolving the channel at its expected molecular weight and allowing comparative analysis of wild-type and mutant protein stability. The polyclonal format is for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or clinical applications.
