CNGA2 (Cyclic Nucleotide Gated Channel Alpha 2) is a calcium-permeable cation channel subunit essential for olfactory sensory signal transduction in the main olfactory epithelium. This polyclonal reagent was raised in Rabbit and is provided at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, supplied as a 100 µl vial. From Antibodies.com, the unconjugated antibody recognizes the human, mouse, and rat CNGA2 protein, supporting Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows across these species.

Validated applications include Western blot analysis of CNGA2 expression in olfactory bulb and testis lysates, as well as immunofluorescence on fixed tissue sections to localize channel distribution at the cilia of olfactory sensory neurons. Researchers in sensory neurobiology and reproductive biology rely on this reagent to investigate odorant-evoked signaling, cyclic-nucleotide-driven channel gating, and roles in spermatogenesis. The PBS-based formulation with azide preservative permits convenient dilution for routine immunolabeling, while the polyclonal clonality broadens recognition of CNGA2 epitopes relevant to channel assembly studies. This is a research use only reagent.
