The CLOCK protein (Circadian Locomotor Output Cycles Kaput) is a core bHLH-PAS transcription factor that drives the mammalian circadian oscillator by heterodimerizing with BMAL1 and activating period (PER) and cryptochrome (CRY) gene transcription. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against an epitope mapping within the E270 region of human CLOCK, giving researchers a reagent for studying circadian biology, sleep-wake regulation, and metabolic rhythm control.

Supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal IgG at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the antibody is unconjugated and validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). It cross-reacts with samples from human, mouse, and rat, supporting work in neural clock models, hepatic gluconeogenesis studies, and behavioral rhythm experiments. Standard handling for sodium azide-containing immunoglobulin preparations applies; aliquot to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
