CLN3, also known as battenin, is a multi-pass transmembrane protein localized to lysosomal and endosomal membranes. Loss-of-function mutations in the CLN3 gene cause CLN3 disease (juvenile neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis), a neurodegenerative lysosomal storage disorder, making reliable detection tools important for research into disease mechanisms, lysosome biology, and neurobiology.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against CLN3 and validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. It cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies across established cell and tissue models, including patient-derived fibroblasts and knock-out mouse neural tissue commonly used in Batten disease research.

The reagent is supplied as 200 µl of polyclonal antiserum and should be stored at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Aliquoted storage helps preserve antibody activity across repeated immunoblotting and IHC staining experiments.

Key features:

  • Target: CLN3 (battenin) lysosomal membrane protein
  • Host species: Rabbit; clonality: polyclonal; isotype: IgG
  • Conjugate: Unconjugated, suitable for secondary antibody detection
  • Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat
  • Applications: WB, IHC
  • Format: 200 µl vial

For research use only; not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
