Raised in rabbit against the CLN2 protein, this polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com binds tripeptidyl peptidase 1 (TPP1), the lysosomal serine protease whose deficiency underlies classical late infantile neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis (CLN2 disease, also called Batten disease). The unconjugated reagent is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples, supporting basic research into lysosomal storage disorders, neurodegeneration, and enzyme replacement strategies. Each vial contains 100 µl of antibody, providing enough material for multiple staining runs and limited freeze-thaw cycles when refrigerated between uses. The polyclonal format enables recognition of several epitopes on both the TPP1 precursor and its mature lysosomal form, which is useful when characterizing residual enzyme levels in patient-derived fibroblasts, iPSC-derived neurons, or post-mortem brain tissue. Intended for research use only, the reagent pairs with standard HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies depending on the detection method chosen.
