The CLIC1 target is a 27 kDa member of the chloride intracellular channel protein family, functioning as both a soluble cytoplasmic protein and a membrane-bound anion channel involved in oxidative-stress signaling, cell-cycle progression, and innate-immune effector activity. This Antibodies.com reagent is a rabbit polyclonal raised against human CLIC1, supplied as an unconjugated 50 µl liquid aliquot intended for western blot and immunofluorescence workflows.

Validated applications include western blot detection of the native ~27 kDa band in cell lysates and immunofluorescence localization in fixed cells and tissue sections. The unconjugated format allows pairing with HRP-conjugated, fluorophore-labeled, or biotinylated secondary reagents depending on the experimental design. For short-term use, store the vial refrigerated at 4 °C; for longer storage, aliquot and freeze at -20 °C, and limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity.

CLIC1 has been investigated as a marker and functional contributor in glioma, gastric, colorectal, and pancreatic cancer models, and in studies of macrophage activation and pulmonary vascular remodeling, making this polyclonal reagent useful for research into ion-channel biology, tumor progression, and redox-regulated cell signaling.
