A primary antibody for immunodetection of the human C-type lectin domain family 4 member A (CLEC4A) protein is offered by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent.

Also known as DCIR (dendritic cell immunoreceptor) or CLECSF6, CLEC4A is a type II transmembrane receptor carrying an intracellular immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM). It is expressed on dendritic cells, monocytes, macrophages, B lymphocytes, and neutrophils, where it modulates signaling downstream of activating lectin and Fc receptors to maintain immune homeostasis.

Supplied as 100 µl of reagent, this polyclonal antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications on human samples. The polyclonal format supports recognition of multiple epitopes on the target protein, enabling detection of full-length CLEC4A as well as naturally occurring isoforms in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections.

CLEC4A is of particular interest in studies of antigen presentation, B cell tolerance, and autoimmune disease mechanisms. Genetic variants in CLECSF6 have been associated with susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus, making this reagent relevant for characterizing dendritic cell dysfunction, inflammatory signaling, and tissue-specific expression patterns in human disease research.
