Anti-Cleaved-Caspase-9 p35 (D315) Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com that selectively recognizes the active, cleaved p35 subunit of human caspase-9 generated after processing at aspartate 315 within the apoptosome. Because the antibody targets the D315 neoepitope rather than the full-length zymogen, it reports intrinsic-pathway apoptosis activation rather than baseline procaspase-9 expression. On Western blot the cleaved fragment migrates near 35 kDa, while immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry reveal cytoplasmic staining patterns in cells undergoing mitochondrial-mediated cell death. Useful in cancer biology, neurodegeneration models, and ischemia-reperfusion injury studies where distinguishing initiator caspase engagement matters. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum; aliquot on arrival and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding to the cleaved epitope.
