Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified from antiserum by epitope-specific affinity chromatography, this unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent is supplied by Antibodies.com as a primary antibody directed against the activated p20 fragment of human Caspase-5, generated by cleavage at Asp121. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 102–151 of human Caspase-5, and the antibody specifically detects endogenous levels of the cleaved p20 subunit, with no reported cross-reactivity in validated applications. Recommended uses are Western blot (typically 1:500–1:2000) and ELISA (around 1:20000), with reactivity confirmed for human samples. Each vial contains the antibody in a liquid PBS formulation supplemented with 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, at a protein concentration of 1 mg/ml. For continuous use the reagent should be stored at –20 °C, where it remains stable for up to one year; repeated freeze–thaw cycles should be avoided. The product is supplied in a 50 µl volume and is intended strictly for research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
