Anti-Cleaved-Caspase-5 p20 (D121) Antibody

Produced in rabbit, this unconjugated polyclonal antiserum detects the p20 large subunit of caspase-5 that is generated when the pro-enzyme is cleaved at the D121 site, the activating cut that accompanies inflammasome assembly. Because the reagent binds the processed fragment rather than the inactive zymogen, it is used to monitor inflammasome-dependent activation of this inflammatory cysteine protease, including its role in pyroptotic cell death and in the upstream signaling of the NLRC4 and NLRP1 inflammasome pathways.
