Anti-CLDN19 Antibody

The Antibodies.com anti-CLDN19 polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against claudin-19, a transmembrane tight-junction protein enriched in renal tubular epithelium and other polarized epithelia. Validated for western blot detection of the endogenous band in human, mouse, and rat sample lysates, the unconjugated IgG fraction is supplied at 200 µL per vial and is intended for research use only.

Claudin-19 forms the paracellular barrier that governs divalent-cation reabsorption in the thick ascending limb of Henle, and loss-of-function variants in the CLDN19 gene cause familial hypomagnesemia with hypercalciuria and nephrocalcinosis. The reagent is therefore widely cited in studies of renal magnesium and calcium handling, epithelial barrier biology, and cochlear development, where claudin-19 is co-expressed with claudin-14.
