Anti-CLDN14 Antibody

Raised in rabbit and supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated IgG, this polyclonal reagent targets Claudin-14 (CLDN14), a four-transmembrane-domain tight junction protein that forms paracellular barriers and selective ion pores in epithelial sheets. CLDN14 is best known for its role in the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle, where it gates paracellular magnesium and calcium reabsorption, and in the organ of Corti, where loss-of-function variants are linked to autosomal recessive non-syndromic hearing loss (DFNB29) and to familial hypomagnesemia with secondary hypocalciuria.

Validated for Western blot on human and mouse samples, the antibody detects endogenous CLDN14 in kidney cortex, inner ear, and other epithelial tissue lysates. It is intended for research use only, paired in standard immunoblotting workflows with an HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagent.
