The CLCN4 protein (Chloride Voltage-Gated Channel 4) is an X-linked member of the CLC family of chloride channels, predominantly localised to endosomal and lysosomal membranes where it contributes to intraorganellar chloride conductance and luminal pH regulation. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against CLCN4 and is validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. The unconjugated format lets laboratories pair the reagent with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondaries of their choice.

CLCN4 has become a target of interest in neurodevelopmental disorder research, where loss-of-function and missense variants have been linked to intellectual disability, epilepsy, and related clinical presentations, and the antibody supports expression profiling, subcellular localisation studies, and confirmation of variant effects in cell and tissue models. The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum in a vial, enough for several western blot membranes and a number of IHC or IF staining experiments at working dilution. For long-term storage, aliquot the antiserum and freeze at -20 °C; refrigerate working aliquots and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody titre.
