The target CLCC1 (Chloride Channel CLIC Like 1, historically called MCLC) is an intracellular chloride channel embedded in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. It participates in ER anion flux, luminal pH regulation, calcium handling, and the unfolded protein response. Homozygous loss-of-function variants in CLCC1 are a recognized cause of autosomal recessive retinitis pigmentosa, and the protein has been investigated in photoreceptor degeneration models, ER stress signaling studies, and screens for modifiers of channel activity.

Provided as a rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com, this reagent binds the CLCC1 protein in human samples and is validated for western blot, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows. The antibody is unconjugated, allowing users to pair it with their preferred HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-conjugated secondary reagents depending on the assay format. It ships as a 100 µL liquid aliquot and is intended for research use only.

Typical experimental uses include confirming CLCC1 expression across human cell lines, mapping subcellular localization at the ER membrane by immunofluorescence, monitoring band shifts or expression changes in disease models of retinitis pigmentosa, and probing CLCC1 interactions by co-immunoprecipitation followed by western blot.
