Claudin 5 (CLDN5) is a roughly 23 kDa transmembrane tight-junction protein expressed predominantly by endothelial cells, where it forms the paracellular seal of the blood–brain barrier and other vascular beds. Investigators working on neurovascular integrity, ischemic stroke, glioblastoma angiogenesis, and endothelial barrier dysfunction depend on reliable detection of this protein in tissue sections and cell lysates.

This rabbit polyclonal, unconjugated primary antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against Claudin 5 and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples. It is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot, ready for dilution into standard immunoblotting and chromogenic IHC workflows. Because the reagent is unconjugated, it can be paired with any HRP- or fluorophore-labeled secondary antibody of the researcher's choice, supporting flexible assay design across immunofluorescence, DAB-based IHC, and chemiluminescent WB.

The antibody reacts specifically with human Claudin 5 and is intended for research use only in studies of tight junction biology, blood–brain barrier permeability, and vascular pathology.
