Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against a synthetic peptide derived from the C-terminal region of human Claudin-1 (also known as CLDN1, CLD, or SEMP1), a tight-junction transmembrane protein widely used as an epithelial and intercellular junction marker. The unconjugated antibody is supplied at approximately 1 mg/mL in a liquid PBS formulation containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.02% sodium azide, and is offered in both 50 µL and 100 µL vials to suit different experimental scales. Of the IgG isotype, it detects endogenous levels of Claudin-1 in human, mouse, and rat samples, providing broad cross-species utility for cell and tissue-based studies. The antibody has been validated for Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), and ELISA, and is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen to maximize specificity. For shipping and storage, vials are dispatched at 4 °C; upon receipt the reagent should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve binding activity and long-term stability. Intended for research use only, this primary antibody is not validated or intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
