CLASP1 (Cytoplasmic Linker-Associated Protein 1) is a conserved microtubule plus-end tracking protein (+TIP), originally characterized through its association with CLIP-170, that suppresses catastrophe and promotes rescue of growing microtubules while also localizing to the Golgi apparatus. It plays essential roles in kinetochore-microtubule attachment, chromosome alignment, mitotic spindle assembly, and directed cell migration during mitosis and interphase. This unconjugated rat monoclonal antibody (clone KT66, IgG2a isotype) is supplied as 100 µg of liquid and has been validated for western blot (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) applications on human samples. Researchers use this Antibodies.com reagent to interrogate cytoskeletal organization and microtubule plus-end dynamics in fixed cells and lysates. For best results, keep the vial refrigerated and protected from light for short-term use; for long-term storage, aliquot and store frozen at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Intended for research use only.
