CKS1B (CDC28 Protein Kinase Regulatory Subunit 1B) is a cyclin-dependent kinase regulatory protein that binds CDK catalytic subunits and drives progression through the cell cycle by promoting Skp2-mediated ubiquitination of the CDK inhibitor p27. This rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody, supplied by Antibodies.com in a 100 µl vial, is validated for Western blot detection of the endogenous protein in human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers studying cancer cell proliferation — particularly multiple myeloma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and breast cancer, where CKS1B overexpression correlates with poor prognosis and aggressive disease — use unconjugated anti-CKS1B reagents to assess protein levels, track cell-cycle deregulation, and probe Skp2-p27 axis activity in lysates from cultured cell lines and tissue specimens.
